Scoil Mhuire students and staff will host a variety show in the Carraig Hotel this week to raise funds for refurbishment projects at the school.

The concert on Friday, September 27 at 7.30pm will showcase the many music, song and dance talents of the school’s students, staff and friends is a follow up to the very successful Scoil Mhuire’s Got Talent show that took place last Easter.

The school is organising the event as part of its ongoing campaign to raise money to refurbish the sports and educational facilities at its campus at Greenhill, Carrick-on-Suir.

The new all-weather pitch which was completed earlier this year now needs to be equipped with sports equipment.   The Department of Education and Skills funded the upgrade of the three science labs whiich needs to be supplemented.  Due to increasing student intake the school needs to provide facilities such as extra lunch tables.  In addition funding is also needed for general health, safety and maintenance of the plant.

Tickets for the variety show cost €15 for adults, €8 for student/child, €40 for a family of two adults and three children.  They are available in school and on the night.  Doors open at 6.30
